Emmett are a committed team of adept professionals, led by directors Nick and Tom Emmett.
Our people are exceptional. They include Development and Project Managers, Estimators, Site Managers and Safety Personnel. For us, it’s not just working to task – we are totally invested and immersed in every project. We take pride in what we do, and get a lot of satisfaction from what we achieve. It’s why many of our people have been with Emmett for over 15 years.
We also have long standing relationships with a core group of architects, town planners, engineers, surveyors, contractors and real estate agents. All of our associates are, like us, motivated to impress, and believe that successful projects are the result of thorough preparation, design innovation and quality building.

“I very much enjoy the process of taking a brief and turning it into real estate. Every time I pass one of our developments, I feel immensely satisfied because I know the consideration and effort that went into to it, and I know that everyone involved is very pleased with the result. And, really, that’s what motivates me… we’re not just creating physical structures with architectural merit and enduring design, we’re creating better environments in which to work or live.”

Tom cut his teeth on building sites as a child and proved a natural for the construction side of the business. He graduated with a Building Degree (Hons) in 1996, and went on to work at Built Environs, first in a site-engineering role and then as Design Coordinator. Appointed Project Manager in 2000, he worked on projects with values of between $1 million to $20 million. They included some of South Australia’s landmark projects, such as the Netball SA Stadium at Mile End and Next Generation gym at North Adelaide. Tom has been responsible for the Design and Construction of all Emmett projects from 2001. Tom is also a Council Member of the Master Builders Association and Chairs the Commercial Contractors Committee.
“For me, it’s the challenge of the build – making sure everything is as it should be. I’m one of those people who love detail, getting immersed in the nitty gritty – making sure the build is to our high standards, is safe, on time and on budget. My role is made easier by the fact that we have such great people working with us, from architects and engineers to the guys operating the cranes and laying the concrete. It’s a team effort, and we’re all on the same page. The results speak for themselves.”
